Zihuatanejo, Mexico

My trip to Zihuatanejo was in March of 2006. This place holds a very special place in my heart. Ever since my father watched the movie, Shawshank Redemption, he always mentioned to me that he wanted to visit Zihuatanejo. Due to my father's untimely diagnosis and eventual passing of cancer, he never had the opportunity to visit Zihuatanejo. So my wife, son and I set off to see the place my Dad had always wanted to see. We found the people in this small fishing town to be extremely nice and welcoming. We rode the buses and ate with the locals outside of the tourist areas. It was a trip that I will never forget. This gallery is dedicated to "Popz".
